Celebrating the Spirit of Papua New Guinea in New Delhi: Medivisor India Treatment Honors PNG Independence Day

On 16th September, the vibrant bird of paradise spread its wings in the heart of New Delhi as Medivisor India Treatment proudly celebrated Papua New Guinea's Independence Day at its Head Office. What began as a small gathering soon blossomed into a moving tribute to culture, unity, and togetherness.

The celebration brought together our cherished patients from Papua New Guinea and the Medivisor family. Though miles away from Port Moresby, Lae and the breathtaking highlands, the atmosphere carried the same pride and joy as the festivities back home.

The office came alive with the colors of black, red and gold. PNG flags adorned the space, while music, laughter, and heartfelt conversations turned New Delhi into a little corner of Papua New Guinea.

The event was graced by Mr. Kumar Sushant, Director of Medivisor India Treatment, who opened the celebration with an inspiring message:

"At Medivisor, our patients are more than just visitors - they are family. Today, as we celebrate the independence of Papua New Guinea, we celebrate not only a nation's freedom but also the strength, resilience, and spirit of our PNG brothers and sisters here with us. His words resonated deeply, reminding everyone that no matter the distance, home is wherever hearts connect.

To make the day even more special, one of our patients from Papua New Guinea shared heartfelt words: "Being away from home during such an important day is not easy, but Medivisor made us feel like we were celebrating right in PNG. Today, I didn't feel like a patient in another country - I felt like I was with family."

The highlight of the celebration was the cake-cutting ceremony, followed by a powerful rendition of Papua New Guinea's National Anthem. Voices rose with pride, echoing the beauty of PNG's mountains, islands, and rivers, and filling the atmosphere with emotion and patriotism.

The day continued with refreshments and warm exchanges, blending PNG's cultural pride with India's spirit of hospitality. Every smile, every cheer, and every handshake strengthened the bond of friendship, care, and respect.

For our PNG patients, this independence Day was more than just a holiday-it was about being seen, honored, and celebrated in a land far from home.
