In a heartfelt gesture of care and connection, Medivisor celebrated Raksha Bandhan today with its international patients at the New Delhi office — transforming a traditional Indian festival into a moment of emotional upliftment and cultural bonding.

Patients from Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, and Malawi, who are currently in India for medical treatment, took part in the celebration. For many, it was their first Rakhi experience — and for all, it was a reminder that even far from home, they are not alone.

The Medivisor team tied rakhis to the patients, symbolizing their commitment to care, support, and protection. In a touching gesture, several patients also tied rakhis to the Medivisor staff — acknowledging the trust, love, and connection built during their healing journey.

“We celebrate Rakhi in Fiji too, but this was truly special. I felt like I had found family in a foreign land,” shared Ms. Alisha, a patient from Fiji.
“In my culture, we don’t have Rakhi — but today I understood it’s about trust and care. And I truly felt both here,” said Mr. Peter from Solomon Islands.

“I’ve been sick and far from home for months. This small celebration lifted my spirits. Thank you for making us feel valued,” said Ms. Louisa from Vanuatu.

“It’s rare to feel this kind of warmth at a medical facility. Today wasn’t just about treatment — it was about belonging,” said Mr. Benjamin from Papua New Guinea (PNG).

The office was decorated with traditional Indian elements, sweets were shared, and handmade rakhis were exchanged. Multilingual messages and cultural explanations helped the patients engage with and appreciate the tradition more deeply.

“This wasn’t just a celebration. It was a message to every patient — that we’re here not only to heal them but also to protect and support them emotionally, like family,” said Kumar Sushant, Founder and CEO of Medivisor.

The Rakhi celebration reflects Medivisor’s growing commitment to holistic, compassionate, and culturally inclusive patient care — reminding patients that healing isn’t just medical, it’s also emotional.
